Primary Speaker Separation
Isolating the main (foreground) speaker in a recording from other voices and background sound.
Primary speaker separation isolates the main or foreground speaker in a recording, separating their voice from secondary speakers, crosstalk, and background sound. It differs from target speaker extraction, which isolates a specific speaker identified by a reference sample, and from multi-speaker separation, which splits every speaker into a separate track; primary speaker separation focuses on whoever is the dominant voice. It is useful for interviews, single-subject video, voice assistants capturing the main user, and call recordings.
