SMPTE Timecode

A standardized clock that labels each video frame for synchronization.

SMPTE Timecode assigns every frame a unique hours:minutes:seconds:frames address, allowing audio, video, and metadata to stay in sync across systems. It is fundamental to editing, playout, and audio post, and comes in forms such as LTC and drop-frame.
