SNR (Signal-to-Noise Ratio)
A measure of how strong the wanted signal is relative to background noise; higher SNR is cleaner.
Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) measures the level of a wanted signal relative to background noise, expressed in decibels, where a higher value means a cleaner recording with less noise. It is one of the most fundamental audio-quality measures and a key indicator of how difficult separation, enhancement, or recognition will be. Low-SNR audio, with lots of noise, is exactly what denoising and speech enhancement aim to improve.
