Target

In source separation, the specific source you aim to isolate, especially an algorithm's estimate of it.

In source separation, the target is the specific source you are trying to isolate from a mix, for example the vocals or the dialogue. It often refers to the algorithm's estimate of that source (the separated target). It is closely related to stem and image, which also refer to an isolated source.
