AES67

A standard that lets professional audio-over-IP systems from different vendors interoperate on one network.

AES67 is an interoperability standard for high-performance audio over IP networks, allowing equipment from different manufacturers, and different audio-over-IP systems, to exchange synchronized, low-latency audio on a shared network. It is widely used in broadcast facilities and is incorporated into the audio layer of SMPTE ST 2110. It relies on precise timing, typically provided by PTP.
