DSP (Digital Signal Processing)

Digital Signal Processing (DSP) is the manipulation of signals such as audio using digital, mathematical operations, powering everything from equalization and filtering to noise reduction and effects. It is the classical, rules-based counterpart to modern AI approaches, and many audio tools combine DSP with machine-learning models. DSP techniques underpin much of how recorded sound is analyzed and transformed.
