A processor that hard-caps audio level to prevent it exceeding a ceiling.
A Limiter is an aggressive form of compression that prevents a signal from surpassing a set ceiling, used to control peaks and protect against clipping. True-peak limiters are standard at the end of the broadcast and mastering chain to meet dBTP delivery limits.
