Loudness Normalization

Adjusting content to hit a consistent target loudness across programs and platforms.

Loudness Normalization is the process of measuring a program's integrated loudness and applying gain so it matches a target such as -23 LUFS or -14 LUFS for streaming. It replaces older peak-based leveling and is why platforms play back different tracks and shows at a comparable volume.
