Mono
Audio with a single channel, where all sound is combined into one signal with no left/right separation.
Mono (monophonic) audio uses a single channel, so the same signal plays through every speaker with no left-right positioning. It contrasts with stereo (two channels) and surround or immersive formats (more channels). Mono sources can be upmixed to richer formats, which works best when the original elements can be separated and repositioned.
