Sync
Licensing music to pair with visual media such as film, TV, ads, or games.
Sync (short for synchronization) licensing is the practice of licensing a piece of music to be paired with visual media, including film, television, advertising, trailers, and games. Sync placements often require a clean instrumental or specific stems so the music can sit under dialogue or be edited to picture. The ability to generate an instrumental on demand can be the difference between winning and losing a placement.
