LANDR has upgraded its Stems plugin with AudioShake's next-generation separation models, bringing piano and guitar to the plugin for the first time, and improving quality across all stems. For producers, that means cleaner isolation, less bleed, and more natural tone across vocals, drums, bass, piano, guitar, and more — all directly inside the DAW they already use.

Bringing industry-proven stem separation to millions of creators

LANDR serves over 7 million music creators worldwide. When the platform introduced stem separation, it partnered with AudioShake — a technology trusted by leading music companies, including Universal Music Group, Disney Music Group, and EMPIRE — and used in catalog work for De La Soul, SZA, and Nina Simone. This update brings what benchmarks consistently rank as the best stem separation on the market to every producer on LANDR's platform.

What’s new: piano and guitar separation

LANDR Stems now includes piano and guitar extraction, two of the most requested additions from producers.

That means you can now pull out piano progressions or guitar parts from a full mix and actually reuse them, whether you’re flipping a sample, rebuilding an arrangement, or isolating parts that were previously hard to separate cleanly.

The new models handle a wide range of sounds:

These additions build on the existing stems (vocals, drums, bass, other) and make the tool much more usable across genres, especially for remixing and modern production workflows.

Designed for how producers actually work

AudioShake’s models aren’t generic. They’re trained per instrument, which is why the results hold up better once you bring them back into a session. In practice, that means:

  • Less unwanted bleed between elements
  • More usable transients (especially on drums and plucks)
  • Parts that sit more naturally when you drop them into a new mix

And because it’s built directly into LANDR, you don’t have to export, upload, and re-import files, it stays inside your workflow.

What producers can do with it

This is where it becomes useful day-to-day:

  • Pull clean vocals for a remix or edit
  • Grab chords or riffs to start a new idea
  • Recover stems when you only have a bounced track
  • Break down songs to understand arrangement or production choices

It’s not just about separation, it’s about giving you something you can actually reuse.

How to access AudioShake Stems via LANDR

Guitar separation is available now in both the LANDR Stems plugin and the LANDR Stems web app. Piano separation is available exclusively in the LANDR Stems web app.

For developers: AudioShake API for professional-grade stem separation

In addition to powering integrations like LANDR, AudioShake offers an API for platforms and developers looking to bring professional-grade stem separation into their own products.
