M&E (Music and Effects)
A mix containing all of a production's music and sound effects but no dialogue, used for localization.
An M&E (Music and Effects) track is a version of a soundtrack that contains all the music and sound effects but excludes dialogue. It is the deliverable that lets international teams add localized dialogue while preserving the original score and effects. M&E tracks are often missing or were never created, especially for archival content; AI separation can generate them from the finished mix.
